Applique block pattern HARES ACROSS THE FIELD
This Applique block pattern of hares across the field, has been specially designed by Granny Maud as the second in a series of ‘Field and Forest’ blocks. It is the basic pattern for a 10″ block with a requirements list, instructions and applique templates. However it also includes options for personal preferences. It could be made with hand stitching or machine sewing. Once the applique block has been completed, it can be used as a framed picture, the centre of a cushion front, or used with others in the series, to make a quilt. Instructions for all these can be obtained from Granny Maud and the Old Grump.

Many years ago during second world war, my Dad was serving with a regiment in Iceland. A group of the soldiers were lost in a snowstorm in the North of the country. However, Dad was rescued by an Icelandic family and they became firm friends. Sometime after he returned home I was born and as a teenagers I became friends with girl from the family . She now has a grand daughter with a rare illness known as AHC for which there is as yet no cure.
I now sell my crafts to raise funds for the research into this illness. My husband, the Old Grump also helps . In a way I am paying back what they did for my family – after all without them I would not be here! Please help us to find a cure by buying our products.
