Blue Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It is usually banded in layers of predominantly light blue, striped with brighter blues, whites, and even brown threads of color. It has a soft, soothing elegance; like sky-blue waters released from winter’s grasp. Its graceful, circular design has a stimulating, positive effect on emotions and attitude. It is not a stone of protection, but rather of encouragement and support. Its circular flowing energy calms, uplifts and elevates
Historically, Agate has been discovered with the artifacts of Neolithic people, and was used for healing amulets and ornamentation dating back to Babylon. Its medicinal uses continued through the ancient Greek and Egyptian civilizations, and spread throughout Africa and the Middle East into Russia.

WE DESIGN AND MAKE THEM
All of our designs are handmade by us using either Bronze, Copper or Fine Silver Metal Clay.
There’s a wonderful range of colours in the Bronze Clay. They range from a silvery white to a colour that is almost copper. So as a result Allie often makes pieces that are multicoloured !
All the Bronzes and the Copper oxidise naturally over time, so a little polish now and then will keep it shiny. Although a lot of people like the antique look this patina gives the metal. Mainly because the pieces appear to have been excavated from an ancient site.
We make all of our Bronze, Copper and Silver items using Metal Clays. These consist of very fine, recycled, metal particles mixed with an organic binder. This results in a material that looks and behaves just like ordinary pottery clay.
However, when it is fired in a kiln, at temperatures exceeding 800 degrees Celsius, the binder burns away and the Metal Particles fuse together. This is a process called sintering and it causes a new piece of metal to form, in whatever shape we have sculpted or moulded it.
We think that It’s very much like Magic! Just like the Nature that inspires us!
