Silver Oak Leaf Pendant with a Smoky Quartz Acorn!
This beautiful Silver Oak Leaf Pendant has a lovely translucent Smoky Quartz gem as it’s acorn!
To make these little pieces of nature that you can treasure forever, we have to choose the perfect fresh Oak leaf first (not all leaves are up to the task!) Then we work on reproducing every little detail. Therefore each leaf pendant we make has its own special character, just like the leaf that we use!
Did you know that this gorgeous stone is Scotland’s National Gemstone!? A variety of smoky quartz called cairngorm, found in the Cairngorm Mountains of Scotland, is used in Scottish jewellery and as a decoration on kilt pins.
Also flat planes of smoky quartz were used by the Chinese in the 12th century for sunglasses!
This Lovely Silver Oak Leaf measures approximately 4.75 cm and is supplied on a 46 cm (18″) Sterling Silver chain. You will receive this unique piece in one of our gift boxes, which are made of recycled card by a UK company. We aim to dispatch in 3 – 5 days.

How We Make our unique designs
All our designs are made using Silver, Bronze or Copper Metal Clays. These consist of very fine, recycled, metal particles mixed with an organic binder. This results in a material that looks and behaves just like ordinary pottery clay.
However, when it is fired in a kiln, at temperatures exceeding 800 degrees Celsius, the binder burns away and the Metal Particles fuse together. This is a process called to sinter and it causes a new piece of metal to form, in whatever shape we have sculpted or moulded it.
We think that It’s very much like Magic! Just like the Nature that inspires us!
Our Silver pieces are either Pure Silver (.999) or a mix of Silver and Copper (.960)
Any piece of Silver sold in the UK that is over 7.78 gm has to be tested and properly Hallmarked, by an assay office, to be sold legally. We are registered with The Edinburgh Assay Office therefore our larger pieces will have our own hallmark.
Sterling Silver, the most common form, is .925, that is 925 parts silver per 1000, the rest being copper, which is only added for extra strength. Therefore all our Silver chains, earring wires and other findings are Sterling and purchased from UK companies.
